Brindle

Hi, long time no post!
Have laid a hallway in some tiles that were originally in the house being renovated. They look like they are made from a type of concrete/ waste from brick manufacture?
Size wise, they're about 9 and a half inch square, 2 inch thick. One side has a smoother texture.
They have been laid ok, was just wondering if anyone had a name for them? Also as regard to sealing, we have cleaned them up today, they are very absorbant. Should we seal with an impregnator?

Anyone with any prior knowledge of these much appreciated.
