4mm or worn 4mm trowel.
I’m assuming they’re meshed backed?
Don’t try to wet cut them, you’ll get mesh wet and they’ll become misshapen.
Always pull mosaic sheets toward you when laying, don’t try to push, they’ll distort.
For example, trowel an area of your former, then suspend the sheet from your hands and gently drop the hanging side into the adhesive furthest away from you, then as you lower it, the side in your hands comes toward you as you lay it down. Make sense?
Then you can tamp it down with a rubber grout float until all pieces lay flat and even.
It’s not fast work, take your time and don’t rush.
You may be better served dry laying the whole tray first and then take it up a bit at a time, trowel the area then relay.
That’s certainly how I do it when I feel it could run out easily.
I dry laid this before fixing.

Yup, crystal clear.
The only pieces I really need to cut is around the waste which I’ll cut off the mesh and wet saw individually. I should get a clear run of 3x4 grid of mosaic 30cm sheets.
I’m def going to dry lay them first as I need to seal them so will seal them after dry laying them and then fix them down.
Thanks so much for the advice ... feel like I can breathe again o_O
