I used my cscs card at last

I finally used my cscs card this morning........to scrape the ice off the van windscreen. I knew my £40 wasn't wasted :lol:

I came accross my CIS card the other day. It's the old Inland Revenue card that used to permit main contractors not to deduct tax off all your invoice. I used it a few times with Cornwall County Council then they scrapped it.

I have to show mine on any new site I go on these days. They take photocopies etc. I still think the process was a waste of time, but it gets used.

I do domestic mainly but it's handy to have if things get quiet and I need to do site work. coincidently it's just expired so I need to renew it as it was only a year one. I've just done my nvq 2 so i'll get a 5 year one this time.
