Hi all,

Got a tiler coming around this monday to fully tile the bathroom and was wondering....

I have:

2 x drill holes + raw plugs for electric shower
3 x drill holes + raw plugs for extractor fan
4 x drill holes + raw plugs for radiator brackets

When tiling is done does the tiler make holes in the tiles for these so they can be used, thing is none of the above can be moved for new drill holes to be done after the tiling as that will effect piping going to them, the above has to go back into the same spot.

All the best

yes... a tiler can drill holes in the new tiles exactly where the existing holes are.

p.s. it is rawlplug.......

If you know where these holes are do them now and leave screws in them to remind the tiler . He can then measure and drill holes as he is tiling . You may have to offer him a bit more if you haven't discussed this with him .

If there's existing fixed pipework then the radiator and shower can only go back in the same position so I wouldn't worry too much.

Many thanks all, instead of putting screws into the existing rawlplugs i have circled them with a marker pen just in case the kids have a accident, also as i have tiled before i have sorted the room in a way that all should run smoothly for the tiler, i.e there is plenty of room for tiles to get to hard to reach places, wires fully insulated and out of reach or harm.

As long as he can do the drill holes all will be fine, i will plumb it/wire it all back in once the tiles are set.
