Anybody got one of these?

Looks like it could be a contender for the Master Tiler/QEP 750.

Bit the bullet and got one. Great wee machine for the money. Very similar in performance to the Master Tiler/QEP750 and about the same size and weight. Probably the same motor. Runs nice and quiet, water recirculates and would be suitable for use indoors. Aluminium table and sealed water tray are a good job. The extending side table and 3m cable are decent touches too.

The only gripe with it, and most small wet saws, seems to be that when I fitted my own decent thin blade on it (Same bore as QEP), the steel connector for the blade guard is a bit wide. The solution would be to just fabricate a bit of thin stainless to suit. There's a laser in the guard which makes it a bit bulky and top heavy, didn't even try it but imagine it's a gimmick.

All in all, ideal rival to the QEP750 at half the price. Got 4 years out of the QEP so served me well, if this lasts as long then it'll be worth every penny. 2 year warranty too so even if I get that out of it it'll be worth it.

That does seem identical to the mac callister one, just different colour. Haven't had good experiences with mine. I found the plastic guide rail bowed in the middle when running a tile through it and because the laser guard is so bulky I found it hard to follow the line I was trying to cut. I ended up taking the guard off so I could see where I was cutting and that left it totally unsuitable for using indoors. That said it did do what I needed and that was with the blade supplied. I did pay a bit more for mine though so you got it at a decent price and if it pulls you out of a hole every now and then, it's a good buy. What blade did you put into it Peter?
