Just a heads up on buying vans.
Been looking at vans to buy ,i spotted two 'bargins' on ebay so i messaged them .
Both the same person both at the opposite end of the country .
I got exactly same reply both times.same name, she lived and worked in Ireland, and said they can be paid through ebay or paypal and they will hold money until i have had the van delivered and checked over .
When i bought my vito i had the same thing but he worked on a oil rig ,so would go through a ebay account, and ebay would hold the money until i got the van 'delivered to my door and checked over'.
I doubt any of us would fall for this , but becarefull chaps and chappettes

Report them too Craig? I nearly got duped into a landrover discovery, all looked perfect, until finding out it was in Germany and the links for eBay and paypal were dodgy when you hover the mouse over them.
You think you've got protection via PayPal but only if it's the real PayPal!

Ebay is not for the naïve and fainthearted. Not sure I would purchase anything like a van on there, but there are some excellent traders, and many good private sellers. Its just a question of ABC - accept nothing, believe nobody, challenge everything.

I've bought vans and cars on eBay, just use your noggin and it's no different to buying from the auto trader or anywhere else!
