We are having a bathroom redone after a bad tile job (see my other post). We are going to get porcelain tiles this time but want to try and disguise as best as possible the bowed area of wall above the doorway. I like large tiles, but Would a smaller tile be better to fit and disguise the bow? Any tips appreciated, want to get it right this time.

With large tiles, you might get lippage unless you were to bed the main bulk of tiles out to match, which is far from practical. There will also be the added danger that you'll exceed the bed limits of the adhesive so all guaranrees would be null and void.

But even if you go for smaller tiles to follow the curve, when you look at it from different angles, your grout lines will appear wavey. Like ours do (we have 6x6), and it bugs the hell out of me. Can't wait for the landlord the give me the goahead to redo it all!

Without reboarding it, all you're doing is bodging a bad wall. So strip it back and start fresh.
