An association fallacy is an informal inductive fallacy of the hasty-generalization or red-herring type and which asserts, by irrelevant association and often by appeal to emotion, that qualities of one thing are inherently qualities of another. Two types of association fallacies are sometimes referred to as guilt by association and honor by association.
The Tile Association, Pro Tile Fixers Association or None?
We have The Tile Association and now probably a Professional Tile Fixers Association.... but how many of you pay to sign up for the services they provide?
There's much talk around the web about the need for a new association to help with actual tile fixers as the TTA currently appear to not get a good response from existing and new tile fixers.
