Hi all!

Im about to lay homelux matting on top of 18mm WBP using BAL SPF. i have PVA sealed the edges (never the top lol) of all flooring but only thevunderside of one sheet due to my oversight. Do i need to prime the top face with BAL SBR or just leave it natural and apply addy. None of MI give an answer so could you advise?

Many thanks all!!

Matting? I take it you mean a waterproofing membrane? I havnt used the homelux but I havnt come across one that you have to prime. You should just tile over the top.

Just re-read your post. Do you mean the top side of the ply or the matting? I cant make out what you mean... Sorry.

hi guys, thanks for your replies. I was asking if i should prime the top of the ply which hadnt been sealed below before applying the tanking membrane.

I took a decision to prime it with SBR diluted down with water (3:1).
I now know that was not needed but have i just created a problem lol lol

Thanks again,

Darren
