When Tiling join between the wall and floor where both surfaces are going to be tiled and they have a paint on membrane on them is it best to:-

a) Tile the walls all the way down to the floor and then tile the floor up to the wall tiles.

b) Tile the floor first then tile the wall down on top of the floor tiles.

c) Tile the walls first except the bottom row. tile the floor all the way to the walls grout the floor all the way to the edge. Seal round the edge with sealant then tile the bottom row of the walls over the sealant.

d) Doesn't matter which way the tiles are abutted.

Also when tiling in a wet area should the adhesive be spread across the wall and then the tile pushed into it or is it ok for the adhesive to be spread across the back of the tile and then this stuck straight to the wall?

Opinions much appreciated and please tell me the advantages an disadvantages of each.

In breif, floor first which allows you to login up floor and wall joints, if you are using the same tile size.
Butter the wall with the notched trowel then the back of the tile with the flat side of the trowel, a very thin layer to help the bond strength.

Its eaaier to tile floor first and then walls if you are lining joints up , but if not it does not make any difference either way, BUT i always tile floor up to wall tiles, unless lining joints

If you use a Wet room tape it shouldn't matter. BUT make sure that you paint over the tape too. Usually 60mm up the wall and dress it onto the floor by the same amount.
