Tile spacers.

Who leaves tile spacers in when they are tiling, or do you remove them before grouting? I know what i do, just wondered what everybody else does....:smilewinkgrin:

Dont use them on floors, straight edges and a tape the only way for a top job.

I always pull them out first and use a small pair of pliers of the tough ones. Never had a chipped tile yet! must be lucky!!

i always pull them out, leave the really hard ones in

Personally i use the cross spacers + putting one lug to seperate the tiles, once the tiles have set enough I remove the spacers and clean the tiles.

I use pegs or just one leg of a + spacer. I was taught many moons ago that grout joints are there for partial expansion as well as to accommodate differences in tile sizes so you don't want any spacer in there, but each to their own.
