Any suggestions.
I have removed parquet flooring in order to lay ceramic tiles.
Questions are ...
1.Can I lay direct onto the old bitumen residue that is left on the concrete , no lumps left just thin residue.
If so should I prime first with neoprene primer , then lay tiles.
2. Other area where parquet taking up will need levelling with SLC , what would be the procedure here neoprene primer , slc , tile.

I am going round in circles on google and tiling shops , some say you can do some say you cant .
Any help appreciated

If u get a minute please introduce yourself to the forum and tell us a little about your project so that we can advise you in the best manner.

After removing as much of the old 'black' as u can, (for best results)
You have two options.
1. You buy a ready mixed 'slurry coat' such as Tilemasters Prime + Grip or
Mapei's Eco Prime Grip.
They are a ready mixed primer and fine aggregate designed for this kind of application, and probably the best method for DIY

2. Make your own by mixing a tiling SBR primer with approx 30% by weight of the time adhesive you intend to use.
Mix well and apply evenly with a roller.
You're looking for a gritty paint effectively.

Let either of these dry and then you can tile or apply SLC then tile.
Be sure to follow any primer and adhesive manufacturers recommendations.
Listening to retail staff can be hazardous, depending on the outlet.
