Hi,

I would be interested in advice on how to apply sealant to corner joints effectively. Is there any way to do it without waiting for the vertical line to dry before applying the horizontal lines? Whatever I try, I take off and weaken the vertical line when applying the horizontal. Many thanks for your help.

Check out Terry the tiler on Instagram, he does it a very satisfying way, it's the only way I do it now 😁

Silicone should be applied continuously if you want a proper seal. Wet silicone will not adhere to dry, there will always be a weak area for water to penetrate.

I would always seal around the bottom first then go up maybe 30cms max on the vertical seal. Next I'd give the silicone a light spray with soapy water, being careful to only spray the bottom of the vertical seal. Finish the seal with a tool around the bottom then finish the vertical seal, spray and tool. Just have to be careful to do around the bottom before the vertical seal skins over. Hope that made sense 👍
