Yes they are the same bodies it's the handles that vary in all the ranges, so go for a 3Gk then if you prefer to push.

I'm still not totally sure it will replace the rubi! I see a lot of sigma uses still use a small rubi

I agree that the Rubi will do a fine job on most small formats but can struggle with some.I just prfer the better robustness, capability and versatility of the Sigma.
