Discuss Restoring geometric tiled floor in the Canada area at TilersForums. The USA and UK Tiling Forum (Also now Aus, Canada, ROI, and more)
we found an old Victorian geometric tiled floor under the hall carpet and I've spent the last couple of months slowly restoring it. To cut a very long story short, i'm at the final cleaning stage before sealing. I hired one of those rotating floor scrubbers which has done a good job, all except for some swirly marks left from the old rubber carpet underlay, which I can't seem to shift, I'd be grateful for any advice.
Could try a bit of nitromorse on a hidden area. They make it water soluble now.
love those old floors. looks great.
What products have you used so far ?
I've no answer to your question but you've done a great job so far.
I managed to get the marks off with this stuff I had hanging around in the garage. The fumes were pretty powerful though.
