How would you guys go about sinking a metal bar into a concrete floor?

I have just bought myself a lovely new motor bike and want to sink a 'u' shaped bar into the floor so that I can lock the bike to it, not sure of the best way of attacking it.

first off what bike you bought...........and i take your on about a ground anchor, if so you can buy them with fixing all ready with them.

What's the diameter of the post? Can you get a drill bit big enough to make the holes to put it in?

Cut out a larger hole than the bar, use a 9" grinder to get the cuts equal. Sink the bar in and fill with concrete, you could always drill holes through the bar and push metal rods through (same type as you use to reinforce concrete). that would make it very difficult to remove which is after all what you want.

Have you thought about closing the garage door....(;0)

Or you could use a core cutter or grinder....

I take it you know what size bar you need, where it should go, the reason why you want it in the floor rather than in the wall etc etc... I'd get a large masonry drill, drill say two or three holes for each side of the u-bar, chisel the in between bits out, fill it with concrete, set the bar and and wait and Bob's your uncle
