What would you do?

Customer wants a niche between bath and window

Niche (350x1600x180mm)

He also wants lights in the niche (top)

Max height from top of bath to finished tiled window sil level is 460mm

Has anybody put a niche level with the bath?
Is it a good idea to do that?

Thanks!

How are you getting the depth for the niche on an outside wall?

I have only ever done them around freestanding baths.

I wouldn’t have the bottom of the niche at the same height as the top of the bath, I would put the niche in the middle of the 460mm even if that means 50mm of tile top and bottom.
