I've never used tiling wedges before and bought some of these. I've only used 3 of them up to now and when I came to knock them out this is how they broke off, meaning I had to Stanley knife the remainder of the plastic out of the joint. I used standard setting adhesive and left them for 3 days before knocking them out, was this too long or should I have knocked them out earlier before the adhesive had set too hard around them? I left the actual wedges in place when I knocked them out. uh.jpg yhug.jpg

I find they (not these particular ones) break off better when you knock them along the grout line with the rubber handle of my hammer.

Some clips are made with inferior plastic that’s why they break at wrong place, sometimes adhesive builds up and prevents the clips breaking clean

Could be excessive adhesive round the base and sides of the clip, always run the tip of a scraper down the edge of tile now.. Shouldn't really matter how long you leave them in for.. Never used those particular clips though, maybe they're not the best..

Schmox are cheap as chips and one of the best ive tried..only downside is base thickness but apart from that they are really good clips..

The only 2 clips I reckon are break-free are PLM and the new Genesis copies of RLS clips.

    Wrong choice of words, sorry!

I mean low quality. Most Tile Rite stuff is pretty low-grade
    (no offence intended)

Build up of adhesive around the clips cause this with most brands of levelling clips.
