Hello All, First time poster here.
I started a project tiling my florida room/enclosed porch/sun room. I have all of the uncut 12" tile down with a modified thinset and it looks great.

I have a problem though. The room has 2 doors: a single sliding door to the driveway/patio and a double sliding door into the house. While tiling to the door going outside won't be any problem, the threshold going into the house sits about 1/2" lower than the concrete slab of the room. On the other side of that door is laminate floor tile. I have attached a picture of the problem area. The strip is about 12 feet long and 3 inches wide.

So my question is what do I do here? I had thought about just laying strips of tile in the threshold and using some kind of transition piece to the higher main surface; using 2x2 mosaic tile as the transition; using a thicker transition tile in the low section, or somehow raising the low section to be flush. I think it would look best using all of the same tile at the same height, i'm just not sure how to do it.

forget the lower area, tile flush up to the door.. is it a pvc door? if not, plane door down, and take the tiles, half way under the door
