How do these compare with diamond cores for drilling holes in porcelain in terms of speed and longevity?

Re: Marcrist Turbolite Arrowhwad Drills

I find such drill bits ok for small holes but as the size increase they tend wobble. So ok if you keep to smaller sizes. 8mm ish

Thanks. I'm thinking of 8mm only. Just realised I should have posted this in the tile drilling section.

Great drills these, just remember to keep them cool while drilling with spray bottle, used them yesterday for some pretty hard porcelain floor tiles and done the job with ease.

Thanks for that. So would you say they were better/quicker than a diamond core?

I've used them but I prefer the diamond core drills. I felt like the turbolites struggled in porcelain and the heads snapped on a couple of them.

I use the Turbolites in 6 and 8mm for fixing holes and they are truly amazing on ceramics!, I never even bother with water spraying em either as there doesn't seem to be any need to, as long as you let them cool down between holes, they do start to struggle a bit on porcelain though, got to keep em cooled with the water spray too or the heads do snap as Martin says, have just treated myself to a set of 365 Drill Porcadrills (for the larger sizes really, but the set has 6 and 8mm in too) so will have to see how they compare, hurry up Mr Postman! :drool5:
