Might seem like a silly question but i cant find anything in the instructions or online to suggest anything so here goes.

When applying jacko joint sealing tape with the tanking solution does the tape need to be fitted in a certain direction?

On one side of the tape, the rubber strip that runs down the middle is exposed like so

Other side is covered by the fabric

Which side should be facing the wall and bedded into the tanking solution?

Thanks Dave,

Though it made sense that it goes on it the direction it comes off the roll but wanted to double check.
Just in case

I've recently completed (as a DIY'er) two fully tiled bathrooms using Jackoboard, the local Jackon rep was very helpful on various detail points of the intslaltion - perhaps worth givig yours a call?

You’ve chosen an incorrect system of waterproofing. You’ve confused 2 different systems and mixed them together.
One system is thus:
10/12mm insulation/Wedi boards with tanking.
The other is:
12mm cement boards with sealant.
You have confused and muddled these both together with poor results.

Not sure what you mean in your post.

I've used 12mm jackoboard and followed the instructions taken from jackos website:

"In wet areas with high humidity levels (Shower area), the
joints should be sealed with a suitable waterproofing
system. We recommend the use of the JACKOBOARD®
Waterproofing Sealing Set or the combination of
JACKOBOARD® glass fibre tape and JACKOBOARD®
BOARD-FIX® adhesive."

Pretty sure ive chosen the correct materials.
I was just questioning the correct way round to install the water proof tape.
