i suspect there is no insulation at all between the flat roof outer ( felt and boards ) and inner ( plasterboard ) , anyway , it looks as though either riip the whole lot down ( cant afford to do it ) or go the way i am thinking and put a false stud ceiling up and insulate between the new ceiling and old
