Heatproof Adhesive and grout - Tile Advice

Hi guys and gals

I am new here and am needing some advise

I am making my own Hearth from slate for under my Multi fuel burning stove.

Which Is the best Heatproof adhesive and grout within a budget. Not the cheapest they would need to be repaired soon afterwards, but not over priced.

Just mix sand and cement together. What about grout?
