I've been asked to tile a couple of floors onto Egger Protect floorboards. These t&g boards are securely fixed and glued at the edges to give a very solid floor.

I have advised the client that I will still need to overboard but he is questioning this advice and I can't find anything on the Egger website to confirm or deny my thoughts.

Has anyone got any experience of tiling onto these boards please?

Cheers,

Did have this same situation a few years ago and i thought that egger's website said that you could tile tile onto them. That's not to say you should in your case, depends on the board thickness 18mm or 22mm? ,joist spacing,if egger's D4 adhesive was used on the joints, etc, etc. In the end i just overboarded it with 6mm cement board using adhesive and screws.
