i tiled my kitchen floor a few months back, used bal adhesive and grout.

i had a homebrew accident a week ago, and a bottle of elderflower champagne exploded.

anyway, a part of the grout "looks" to be wet... its been a week, and weather is scorching, plus ive cleaned the rest of the floor a couple of times and the rest of the grout is dry.

im thinking it is probably stained or penetrated by the wine?

can i dye it back to original colour? it looks like a darker "cross" in the doorway. if so, can anyone recommend a product for this?

failing that will i have to score out the grout and redo it?

i dont think it is damp coming from anywhere else as it is too much of a conicidence. the wine wasnt cleaned up straight away, as this happened at night.

thanks in advance for any advice.

since it was bal and you will struggle to match there colour i would try aqua-mix and re-do the lot,it won't take long as theres one you can purchase that goes on like nail varnish it's called grout colourant at about £20 a bottle

thanks for the replies. ive actually sorted it after i posted. i scrubbed it with a nailbrush and soap and thismorning its dried.

i guess it was dry but looked wet cos of the sugar in the wine and has scrubbed off.

thanks anyway.
