Help, please. Last year we tiled our bathroom and en-suite floors. We used the correct flexible cement and grout, but there has been so much cracking that they will have to come up.
Is there an easy way to remove the cement from the floorboards?
Many thanks, in advance. From Marion, Billingham.

:welcome: think your cracking prob may of been fixing direct to floorboards with deflection scraper and lots of elbow grease or replace floorboards

Adhesive manufacturers are pigs for putting things like "Tile straight on floor boards" on their packaging. You cant tile onto floor boards and expect the tiles to stay down.

I think you would be best off removing the floor boards all together, replace with 18mm WBP ply fixed to the joists, after adding extra noggins if needed and then over boarding with a cement board. This is really the only way of tiling a timber floor.
