Thanks Matt,
If the gap with silicone will suffice I'll run with that. Can't see any problem with the schluter trim but obvs not needed for the size of the floor I'm doing. Sorry Antonio i cant see the possibility of movement on any of the pictures you showed me (the trim does look very nice but is not suitable for my requirements). If this causes a major argument I'll delete the thread because I'm just here for advice so i can do the best work possible.

Don't worry Jim Antonio is just trying to help he's not English so he has to use a translator, there's no arguments were all just trying to help you :)
