Conflicting advice on floor job from 2 sources.

Movement joints required around perimitier of floor on concrete. Total field is less than 4m sq

or......

Leave gap round edges the width of the tile depth (6-10mm)

& where to get corner jointing from?
Advice please thanks

They don't sound conflicting they both will leave expansion joints as far as second option schluter do internal corner expansion joints in form of a trim you can always call them for advise and they will talk you through there products I think a gap and then a neat silicone bead would suffice

Schluter appear to be the only people I can find who do a corner / edge movement trim.
If the soft joint will suffice that is great thanks!
(What i mean is that I've spoken to 2 people who are adamant that their solution is the only way hence the conflict & asking the question)

Impossible to say from the pictures really. If they are corner movement trim for floors then yes. Don't see why they couldn't be used on walls too. Are they the schluter ones?

But from what i can see, you appear to have done the floor first so no that looks like internal plastic trim for doing the insides of windows etc.......
What I'm describing is a trim which will allow up a few mm of lateral movement from heat change, moisture (breathing not water ingress - tank for that) & vibration.
Have a look at any tile run over 4.5metres in shopping malls etc & you'll see an expansion / movement joint to stop the tiles tenting. I'm questioning the need for an internal perimeter movement joint or just to leave a gap the depth of the tiles & fill with silicone to create a 'soft' trim. Does that explain it any better?

it is necessary, in public places, for hygiene.
the rounded slips, leaves no deposit microbes and easier to clean.
Here in Italy, some cities impose the coving.
