Hello all,

Just wanted to thank everyone for their advice I have finally got the bathroom I was after.

By the fourth pic (shower tray on floorboard, the cowboy fitter was fired)

Good guys came in ripped all plaster and floor boards, replaced speed fits with copper pipes, put in noggins between joists before laying down 18mm ply and Cement/Marmox all around and the rest is what you see.

Planning to do Kitchen next.

Looking good..but whats wrong with the speedy push fits i no a few plumbers who use these?...those walls were terrible and they were tiling onto them lol??...not even removing the old adhesive?

Nothing wrong with push fits as long as they're pushed on enough and sleeved , I think it was more of a case of this plumbing was a mess and badly planned? Ptfe on the compression threads is more worrying

I've seen ptfe tape used on compression joints..paste is also used..it's not bad practice...just a little over kill
