Was doing about 10 to 20 days a month for bathroom company for over 2 years & during this time my rates never increased, I arrived at 8am every morning, every job was completd to a high standard & completed ahead of schedule even if it meant working to late oclock, I was also never called back to do any snagging.

Two months ago nothing they never called, was chockers with other stuff anyway,goes in to Cosmo Ceramics to pick-up a pallet of tiles addy etc I had put on order only for the guy to bring out a completly diffrent order, turns out the company had been using my discount & getting somebody else to do the Tiling.

The reason you guessed it cheaper!

Well today he leaves v,mail & txt asking if I could come back. what would you guys do, I was gonna send a revised price list? :lol:

I'd be screaming about using your dicount and I'd also be having words with the shop aswell...

Did do at the time, when I called him he was quite flipant about it so I told him the tiles where actually in my possesion as they where on my account, soon changed his attitude.

I let most customers use my discount on tiles and its nevr been a proble, now they call before anybody ordrers.

This one needs some thought .do you wish to go back and work for someone who has treated you this way,can you survive without them, And yes a price increase is in order if you go back

I have the motto never burn bridges, yes send a revised price list, as materials , petrol have gone up, can always say no later. any repairs that you may have to do to the old tiler's work at a very good rate

I had the same situation a couple yr back, I revised the prices etc and it was fine.

Same comp has now gone pop, a victim to the down turn.

As Steve above, work is hard enough to come by, so always keep your fingers in many pies.

Work is work, be the bigger man do the work and take the money while its there.

As per most of the above.... work is work, definately revise your prices though.
