Brown biscuit tiles.... - Tile Advice

Anyone had a problem with cheap brown biscuit tiles after grouting you see a brown rim round the tile even with full joints..... Like the glaze doesn't go to the edge of the tile..?

Yes i have, unfortunately there is not a lot you can do with them. To my knowledge.

Seen it lots of times Andy, just cheap tiles. I once used some white ones with white grout and the biscuit stood out a mile but what can you do.

Had it on white metros, cheap crap from tile mountain, a whole bathroom tiled too, client didn't pick up on it.... But I hate leaving a job like that...
I even recommended several tile shops that I know sell quality metros.... But when there budget will only allow £9.99 a meter crap not much you can do.

BTW they supplied the tiles.. ..
Do you think they would be able to complain to the supplier about selling substandard tiles ?

In a word no! I don't think there's much regulation on tiles and there quality

They would probably just hit you with they are within european standards
