Hi, I’ve decided to re tile my bathroom walls and floors due to the poor state they were in when I moved in.
I’ve stripped the old rotten plasterboard from the stud wall and plan on installing 12mm Hardiebacker boards and then tile straight on with 10mm porcelain.
The other two walls had what I think was bonding? (It was like an orange-pink-brown hard clay that crumbled but was also quite tough). These two walls are now breeze block. Am I able to slap some Keraquick onto the breeze blocks and attach the Hardiebacker boards on also with some screws put in for extra strength?
The final wall is a plasterboard wall that is in good condition and my plan is to tile on top of the old tiles? Is that ok to do?
I’m a beginner in this area and the missus is on my back so I’m eager to get this done and dusted lol
