Hi folks
Got a estimate to sort out, so get in touch with builder about floor screed
Yes it's anhydrite but this is a new type that does not need sanding(haven't we al heard that one )
Alpha tech
Anyone heard of this ?
Just more mis informed builders

Find out who manufacters it phone and get a written specification. Font accept anything verbal .

most likely alpha hemi hydrite and the ones i see are low laitance but it's there and needs sanding. unfortunately the screeding company gives poor advice on this so might not be the builder's fault this time:eek:

On a alpha hemi at the mo, Tom mayhew screed, no laitance whatsoever, none. Obviously given it a bit of a going over with scraper and wire brush to get plaster snots off but other than that it’s ready to go, dry as a bone, anhyfix , decoupler and away

Mate, all i do is Mayhew screeds and believe me they have laitance. try sanding them and you'll see. He did briefly change the colour of sand and it was very easy to tell then.

Been on a few of his and needed sanding, this one has not needed it and it’s the changed sand
