:mad2:Hi People

I am currently doing a 2 week course at Chase Tiling Academy (which is quality, and I have realised this is definatley what I want to do:thumbsup::thumbsup:.). At the end of it i will have 2 units towards the C&T 6217.

I have tried many different companies to see if anyone will take me on, but still no look. I was wondering if anyone knows of any companies in the West Midlands area which might take on a trainee tiler. I am also going to get my CSCS card when i have finished my course so I can go onto a site.

Any information would be really good and helpful, as I dont want to give up with trying to become tiler.

Finally I am willing to pay for any necessary costs for courses etc

thanks in advance and sorry for being a pain

Liam

You're not a pain Liam don't worry about asking.

Keep at it, don't stop trying, it'll eventually pay off.

If you can do a couple of family jobs and take pictures of those and what you're doing at Chase you should find a tiler may be interested in letting you shadow them a bit.

The west midlands is a big place, can you be more specific ?

I live in the Stourbridge area, but am willing to travel around.

As for what Dan has said.

Chase are going to give me a DVD with my pictures on etc. And I am begging my family to do some tile work, hopefully they will fold soon and let me change something in the house:smilewinkgrin:

The problem you will find is that most companies will want you to be able to fix so many M2 per day to make it worthwhile.
It would be no good you going on site and only being able to fix 4 m2 a day...It just wouldnt be worthwhile.
Best way is to work for yourself or for friends/family and build up speed.
If any jobs come up where I feel I could take someone with me then I will let you know. At the moment I have lots of work but mainly one man areas.
