Just a note to any of you that have the above saw, buying a decent blade for this saw is a problem because of the bore size but below is a link to a disc that comes with a ore reducer meaning you can use the more common 25.4mm bore discs:thumbsup:

I bought the cheaper disc then I have the reducer and got a marcarist blade when it runs out:drool5:

This is a really great saw if you are on a budget esp with a better blade. Make sure you get a Topps gold card and its dirt cheap:thumbsup:

Let me give you a tip on this saw. If you store it outside under a cover, make sure you remove the blade and oil the thread and nut cos if you don't the nut might rust and the motor shaft will snap as you desperately pull as hard as you can on the biggest spanner you possess trying vainly to remove the nut while cursing that you didn't take better care of the machine.

p.s Any ideas what to do with a broken Vitrex 900?

Sorry Richard didn't realise it had been covered already.

Its going really well thanks Doug. More work than I can do for the past few months I've been turning stuff down(hate doing that!)

You'll know this but seems that having a smallish community around here is working for me, past few months have been pure word of mouth, which i didn't expect in my first year (but i was known for doing tiling a before). Did one slate floor in Grasmere and got 3 others from their friends:smilewinkgrin:

Seems to be mostly natural stuff that I'm doing which suits me because thats what I'd done before and what i enjoy doing the best:thumbsup:

You been doing the pool area at the Langdale resort?

Cheers

James

Bought a Vitrex Power pro recently and sent it straight back as it had a 2/3 mm wobble on the blade, when I phoned the shop they didn't seem shocked!! Wanted to get a replacement but worried that it's a common fault with this model. Not sure which wet saw to get now, any adevice would be great.

I was looking at keeping it under £300 mate, only ordered the Vitrex over the Rubi DU200 because the motor is more powerful and the Rubi isn't made for cutting PEI V. Think I'm going to have to rethink! I'm open to any suggestion.
Thanks for any help.
