What smoothing compound for bitumen adhesive

Hi

Having removed old "marley" tiles there is a residue of bitumen adhesive. What is the best smoothing compound to cover this before laying the tiles?

I would say ardex , arditex na . I think they quote this as one of its uses ..
Ultrafix levelit 2 is very similar .
But check with relevant technical departments

I would prime first with something like tilemaster prime and grip.

As above , use a slurry coat or suitable primer , eco-prim grip is another.
Remove loose particles before priming. .
