For a small job recently, ripping some 20mm quartz, l used a diamond blade on a Makita plunge and rail saw, worked a treat, if a bit tricky whilst using saw with one hand and a hose in the other. - okay for a one off job though.

Been looking at these, I’ve got a 1800 job coming up , planks , I’ve ‘only’ got a sigma 128 max, so was thinking of one of these with the rail

The reason I’m asking is that I have a 22mm quartz coming up. What plunge saw did you use mate?

Aye it was a Makita sp6000k plunge saw, with a 160 mm ats turbo diamond blade. Was ripping 20mm quartz to give additional depth to worktop.
