Seems alot of talk that 20kg per mtr2 is the max weight limit for plaster. Few questions
1. its plaster over brick and has been painted over the years.
2. its not fresh plaster its been up 20yrs or so
3. the plaster is not coming away or damaged

the tiles will weigh around 22-24kg per mtr2 without adhesive.
do you recommend screwing 6mm cement boards over the plaster screwed in to the brickwork then tile or apply a bonding agent such as bal APD on the plaster and tile or remove the plaster and tile onto bare brick?
its not going in an area where its wet.

thanks
