Could try low tack masking tape to hold up the tile your fixing

good idea never thought of that myself ....but it makes good sense and so simple to do.

I just work in columns to the floor putting my small screwdriver under the last tile each time until the cut then use a wedge to nip up to the spacers, repeat for all columns, either that or let the sticky tack up a bit as has been said, or just work faster

great advice...but why not just batton down lower so you only have one tile below the batton? it's not difficult to work out where batton needs to go and it enables you to tile quicker...works everytime for me :lol::lol::lol:

Why would you want to start tiling the top half of the bathroom first!

would it not be easier to start tiling from the first full tile up then you could just remove the baton and put in the last cut at the bottom,or tile the floor first then mark a datum round the room and put your first cut tile on,creating a level to work up from!

if still struggling why don't you try using a rapid-set adhesive or measure down say x amount of tiles and put the baton on there leaving only the bottom cut
