Hi, we are having a worktop fitted and have been asked how thick to make the upstand. We are tiling above the upstand but haven't chosen the tiles yet. They are probably going to be 8 or 9mm thick. Shortlist of options are 75 x 300 X 9mm or 320 x 625 X 9mm or 130 x 130 X 8mm.
We would like the upstand to ideally be flush with the finished tiles or we would accept the upstand being proud of the tiles. But really don't want the tiles above to be proud of the upstand!
How much would adhesive etc add on to the depth of the tiles, so we know what thickness upstand to order? Thanks
