Edit May 2024: THIS is a New Show Us Your Work Thread for 2024 Onwards

This is the new Tilers Showcase Forum where we want new tiling work added, with each tiling job you complete having a thread of its own so people can see what kind of work you do, and potential customers can find your work

I thought it was about time we had a thread dedicated to all members of Tilers forums to show us any work that they do.

Be it from installing a kitchen to garden decking. Show us your work! Get those pictures taken, but then do something with them! Actually add them to a thread and some facebook groups with your website link in them etc and it'll help spread the tile love. :)

If you have done a job then please do share it with us.

Pics are a MUST as what is the point of sharing a job without them..:smilewinkgrin:.

So if you do a job and you take a few pics then please do share it with us.

Lets make it a big thread for all to view and input in.

Thanks Dave ..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

You know what Phil, i have gone years where nobody wants slate.. used to popular 10 yr back but it is trending again... have yet another slate floor before xmas..

3 in as many weeks... how times change.. and that is a lovely floor mate..

We used to lay hundreds of metres of slate about 20-25 years ago too. Most popular for commercial work was a hard black slate called silver blue. Your right though Phil, just the nature of the stuff makes it a little more effort to lay, especially if you get a few crates that range from 5mm to 25mm.:yikes: I've actually been able to split the really thick ones on the odd occasion.

I would think that after a while the white rectangles would start to look like they're coming out of the wall at you :smilewinkgrin: Nice neat job though.

Cheers!

A very good standard for DIY, couple of basic errors with the setting out but, all in all, a good job. Well done :thumbsup:

The Legend; Phil Hobson RIP

A job I finished today, what I can't understand is why am I tiling a little fire recess. When the customer has just had a full bathroom walls and floor. Plus kitchen walls, and a large kitchen floor tiled. This "Professional tiler" has laid all the floors on T&G floorboards, and the whole lot is coming up, loose tiles a plenty. Should imagine the walls were dot & dabbed too. Is this what we are up against?:mad2:
