Re-grouting - Tile Advice

Somebody has asked me to re-grout about 5m around a bath where it's gone all manky.

Whats the best way to get the old stuff out - are those grout rakers any good?

I've always found the best way is to pay the lad to do it while I do something more productive

If you've got a multi-tool, there's a blade you can buy to grout-rake apparently?!

I only currently have a cheap multi tool and wouldn't fancy holding that nasty bugger for hours

When I was working for the council, was always getting these sort of jobs, either used my multi tool or sand paper

Doesnt matter how good you are always chip a tile or 2

Theres a cheap tool that looks ok,called regrout tool ,have a look ,

The grout comes out a lot easier if you rip off the tiles at the same time.

Multi tool sounds like your best bet.

@Diggy , awarded " best answer to unwanted job request ". Grout usually belongs to bathroom with jammed shut window and extractor fan stuffed with talcum powder.
