Good evening all, need to quote for a job and would like to know what prices you would give, so...
50m2 total area
6mm insulated board
UFH matting
Self level
600x600 Quartz (in discussions about the quality)
Running through 5 rooms
It's in a new build but the floor isn't great and this is labour only, with 2 of us doing the fitting.
Thanks in advance

I would talk to bal, but I would say NO to BAL PTB, needs to be bottle plus powder.

I would also talk to the quartz manufacturers with regards the ufh.

Do all of this in writing or emails, I would want anything Topps staff say in writing.

If they have some tiles in stock, go and read the box, I have just done some quartz from and say laytex base adhesive only.....

I've fixed gulf stone with ptb and no issues. I am aware topps recommend it but I'm also aware that most topps staff can't spell their own names. That said, gulf stone is the best and the only one I'd use ptb on. If you go that route, speak to Dave Wilson at bal technical and also get topps store manager to put it in writing.

Best you read the fitting instructions above ;)

@mma and other members interested.
This is what you need to know when fitting Quartz Gulf Stone

As per fitting instructions posted earlier, use 2 part laytex base adhesive.

Spoke to Gulf Stone Tile Quartz Floor and Wall Tiles UK - Home

just now, they told me it is ok to use with ufh but ONLY the electric wire type, NOT wet based in screed type.
They also told me stone comes pre sealed and there is no need to seal, but if you wanted to they recommend Lithofin.

So if you want to take the advice of some of these tile shop's and adhesive manufacturers who give different recommendations to that of the tile manufacturers be it at your own risk and get it in writing from them.

Hope this help's
