As I said two different colours can't come of the same batch,. Sizing on tiles is usually nominal so one batch 300 x300 can be 298 x298 and one batch can be 304 x304 as for thickness there probably is some variation also , but that being said if they couldn't do a good job with what they had they should of said. .
Some adhesive goes of quicker than others also depending tile type ,temperature , humidity , and background . I have certainly walked in tiles a lot quicker than a couple of hours as was stated earlier .
I appreciate your reply. I’ve been trying to get reasons as to why the finished surface as it is. A guy with 23 years in the job shouldn’t be leaving a customer with a surface like this.

Nobody denies you can walk on tiles sooner, that's not really the overall point here, it's the finish. It just seemed tight for what was originally thought of as a one man job, primer to dry, layout, lay and grout. If it was priced as a two day job then why risk it all within 6 hours. That finished job shows what a 6 hour lay leaves when there was no need to do it as quick 🤷‍♂️

I'm sure if the op goes to small claims I'm sure they wont care how long it took , after all if it took 3 days would op think the work was ok , no I doubt it , they will only be interested in the finished product and that is what the op should concentrate on . .
Thanks. Yeah I’m getting a bit off focus & trying to look into reasons as to why it’s like that. Need to stay focused On the finished floor.
thanks for the advice.

Yeah if it was done properly in 5 minutes or 3 days I wouldn’t be here asking you guys for advice.
thanks for that. 👍🏼

Am from Kilsyth and have heard that there’s a few tilers leaving bad jobs but as a said on my post one of the tiles mite be a different thickness as a have just done a big floor with porcelanosa tiles and they had a border tile and they were told that they were same thickness but once put together there was about 2mm of a difference 🙈
Not good to be leaving bad jobs, the floor looks cracking but it’s terrible underfoot. You can feel the lippage with shoes on!
