The CITB-ConstructionSkills Health and Safety Test is the industry standard, taken by over 300,000 people every year. It is designed to ensure everybody working in construction has a minimum level of health and safety awareness.

Passing the test is an essential part of qualifying for the major card schemes such as CSCS and affiliated schemes. Without the right card, it's increasingly difficult to get on site.

just had a prob with this Dave self taught couldent get on site in glasgow had to run of to Derby take a test as a general labour can b mad :mad2:

Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007

The new CDM 2007 Regulations are divided into 5 parts:
  • Part 1 deals with the application of the Regulations and definitions.
  • Part 2 covers general duties that apply to all construction projects.
  • Part 3 contains additional duties that only apply to notifiable construction projects, i.e. those lasting more that 30 days or involving more than 500 person days of construction work.
  • Part 4 contains practical requirements that apply to all construction sites.
  • Part 5 contains the transitional arrangements and revocations.
