Looking to build an L shaped box round boiler pipes on a kitchen worktop. It will be about 50cm L x 50 cm high x 10cm deep. I’m thinking to use 6mm Hardiebacker or No More Ply screwed/glued onto a wooden frame. This will then be tiled over to blend in with the rest of the wall tiles. Would this size of backing board be ok? Looking save space and weight. Thanks.

You could use prefabricated angles from Jackoboard
