Discuss 600x900x20 limestone in the Specialist Tile -Stone, Porcelain, Glass area at TilersForums. The USA and UK Tiling Forum (Also now Aus, Canada, ROI, and more)
hi lads
I don't often work along side many tiles I am a one man band, I am just woundering how many meters a day lads expect to lay a day dazed on laying 600x900x20 limestone floor tiles on a three mil joint. The floor is fairly average and laying on to ditra Mat.
Areas are approximately 50meters in area cuts to all walls !
Be interested to hear what the thoughts are !
I'm younger, so 20 to 25 ungrouted
Laying some at the moment, various lengths up to 1 metre. Doing about 15 metres a day but there's quite a lot of cuts as areas aren't that big.
Finished a job with similar stone earlier this year which was much bigger and did 30 metres on the best day when hardly any cutting was done
I did a job with Durastone earlier this year, a hall, kitchen and living room, 75mts, different lengths and 4 widths random bond and rectified edges,3 days to lay and about 3 hours to grout. It's all down to the flatness of the floor. I love those SR1 floors
Well sound like some people are getting some good meaterage down in a day.
I am getting about 10 meters down a day on my own!
No labrour
And am absolutely knackered at the end of the day the tiles are 28kgs each rectified edges and slightly out of square which is bad as they cost a packet . Supplied says have to open up joints with a grinder before grouting. Should not be expecting that from £70 a meter tiles !

Shouldn't expect this from £385m2 FE tiles,

Look like Waxman mosaics. They are always skewiff on the mesh!
