We want to get our small wet room tiled, it's 2.4m x 1.5m and has a concrete floor, we had an extension built in 2008 but never got round to tiling it. At the time we bought a Tilesafe kit which we still have, the bitumen based membrane seems fine as do the rolls of reinforcing strip, we would probably need a new tube of sealant and a bar of the putty.
I would like to use it if possible but just wondering if it's considered that there are better products these days?

Best check with Impey if there is a use by date for Tilesafe!
After 8 years in storage it might have lost some adhesion with damp.

thanks I've asked RIW and they say the membrane should be fine but to replace the jointing putty etc.
