After seeing how everyone else stores tools etc in their vans I decided that I needed a bit more storage space. I found that I was just piling tools and buckets ontop of each other, and making a mess when looking for stuff. So I built a new piece of racking that is now home to my ts60, drills, grinder, radio, trowels, floats and a shelf for bits and bobs. Even got a bit of carpet off a mate and carpeted the floor. Only did it at the weekend and already I'm seeing the benefits and I know where everthing is!! Old pics first to save going back through the posts.

I usually load my van with tools and cutters for each job depending on what I need, and I keep every thing else in the store. I have loads of shelves, with a set space for individual items, so you know exactly where they are. I know it's quite sad, but my van is always this tidy and the cab is immaculate too.

Seen some great ideas for my van, especially for silicone.
Heres some pics of mine, Ive now got a bigger van (Transit Connect) and love it. As I live in Tottenham I try not to keep any cutters or other main tools in my van, and as i dont have a shed or garage its kept in a corner in my flat!
Someone left some wooden shelves in the communal bins which i 've recycled and used in the van!

Very tidy spanish, now that layout would suit my van too.
But no room for pallets, maybe i should stop carrying them myself.

yeh Hillhead I get all my gear delivered, got sick of humping tiles and stone around and overloading the van.

so only ever have half a doz bags of addy and a bit of hardie backer to go in, need the roof rack for my wedi boards tho.

I haven't got any pics and now i'm not on the tools i dont have a van now. But I set up a mennazine level to carry underlay sheets, gave me twice as much floor space, had to it was just a little nissan largo.
My mate has a hiace long wheelbase, he's fitted a full length draw that slides in and out from in between the internal wheel arches this leaves a solid flat platform the full width and length of the van to carry anything that wont go into the draw.
Its like Dr. Who's Tardis inside
sorry no pics, I'll try to get one the next time i see him.
