hi all who among us have tiled on a ship before?. I did last year in spain. Jesus what a shock. No spirit levels or lasers everything by eye. Only true line is a plumb. Floor is cambered left to right and back to front. Just great for tiled skirting. All walls are fire retardant I had to use epoxy to put tiles up. All floors are steel so need arditex first. A challenge to say the least for a first timer.

i tiled on the qe2 in 1995 bathroom in 7mm fibre glass backed marble slabs and one in porcelain tiles, sailed from southampton to ny then onto bermuda then back to ny then back to southampton every thing measured from bulk heads as you say no need for a level

Would a floor laser work on a ship to check how square room/tiling is as its on the floor and moving same way as ship as it is only checking point to point and not level?
